The main objective of ARGER is to foster the scientific and technical exchange between Argentina and Germany in the medical specialties of Hematology and Oncology. For this purpose, ARGER will sponsor and grant subsidies for joint research projects, courses, conferences, congresses, publications, and clinical and laboratory training scholarships.

First Argentine-German Workshop on cellular and molecular therapies

Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at the Hotel Emperador, Buenos Aires.


Important scientific advances were reported at the event

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM

SESSION 1: Banks of cells, tissues and organs.
SESSION 2: Processing, preservation and distribution of cells and tissues  for therapeutic purposes.
SESSION 3: Bioengineering of tissues and organs.
SESSION 4: Immunotherapy and anti-tumor vaccines.
SESSION 5: Targeted molecular therapies
SESSION 6: Transfer of technology from the laboratory to the clinic.
 
 

Visit to the Ramos Mejia Hospital

On October 9th, 2007, the German Academic Delegation and members of ARGER met Dr. Igarzábal to coordinate the Medical Student Exchange Program.

Scholarships to UBA students

On April 10th, 2008, subsidies were awarded to UBA students from the Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy and Biochemistry Andrea Beltrán González, Paula Zimerman, Lucía Benedetti, María E. Apestegui, María V. Lorenzón, Tania Simunovich, Milagros Blázquez, María A. Gazzaneo.
The awards were delivered by Mrs Nelly Arrieta de Blaquier and members of the ARGER Foundation

New visit to Buenos Aires of the Academic Delegation from Albert Ludwigs University

On November 14th, 2006, during the signing of the Academic Agreement in the Office of the Dean, Prof. Dr. Alberto Boveris, with Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Campos, Academic Secretary, and Prof. Dr. Daniel Turyn, Secretary of Scientific and Technical Affairs.


Del Salvador University

On November 17th, 2006, after the signing of the Academic Agreement with authorities of Del Salvador University, Prof. Dr. Eduardo Albanese, Dean of the School of Medicine, Lic. Javier Alonso Hidalgo, Academic Vice Rector, Dr. Fernando Lucero Schmidt, Vice Rector of Research and Development, and Dra. Mirta Barreiro, Director of Cooperation and International Exchange.

On October 10th, 2007, the German Academic Delegation presided by Prof. Dr. Mertelsmann and Dr. Koziner from ARGER, met with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Rubén E. Hallu, Profs. Dr. Alfredo Buzzi and Dr. Ricardo J. Gelpi, from the School of Medicine.
